If you’re here in sunny Las Vegas with us this week for Interop, stop on by the NAC panel this afternoon, 2:00pm Pacific Wednesday, May 20th. As the only non-vendor participant on the panel, it is my duty to keep the vendors in line, harass them and challenge their thoughts on the technologies and standards. I feel I can at least deliver on one of my assigned duties; I can certainly harass them all. ;) It should be fun… (more…)

I have a little request to all my blog readers. Hey, I don’t ask for much, but here’s a little favour I’d like to ask of you, since you’re most likely interested or involved in network security, NAC or 802.1X technologies.

My good friend, colleague, managing editor and lab director Mike Fratto has posted questions for the Information Week 2009 NAC Survey. I know I’ve had another week of being a bad blogger- but you’ll find out why soon. There are several current and upcoming projects I’m going to let you in on. For now, I want to tell you about the Virtual NAC Tradeshow!

Today (April 22nd), Information Week opened the virtual doors to it’s virtual tradeshow- an online show hall, full of NAC information, whitepapers and on-demand presentations from a variety of specialists and industry experts. RSA Conference, San Francisco
Day 1: Tuesday, April 8th

This is my first year at RSA, and I really had no clue just how large it was. The expo floor is massive, and it’s filled with near-Interop-sized booths and hooks. To kick the day off, I caught the morning keynotes in the main hall, then took some time finding our partners and other folks on the expo floor. I attended some peer to peer breakouts, but due to the nature of those sessions, I’m not going to publish any information from those. Aside from that, here’s how Day 1 went… (more…)
