I have a long history with the Techno Security Conference, thanks to my mentor and friend "Uncle" Jack Wiles. At one point, over 10 years ago, I was the conference's youngest ever keynote speaker. It's with great honor I return again this year to deliver a technical session on Zero Trust.

I have a long history with the Techno Security Conference, thanks to my mentor and friend “Uncle” Jack Wiles. At one point, over 10 years ago, I was the conference’s youngest ever keynote speaker. It’s with great honor I return again this year to deliver a technical session on Zero Trust. More on my session is here and below, but here’s a little backstory.

Back then, Techno Security was hosted in Myrtle Beach, SC. They’ve moved to Wilmington, NC this year and there’s a ton of buzz. The content, attendees, and topics at Techno Security are both deep and broad.

For the many years I spoke and attended in the past, I learned so much. Covering areas of digital forensics and incident response well beyond anything I’ve seen at traditional infosec conferences, Techno Security has been the beacon of information and the gathering place for the world’s leading investigations and law enforcement professionals.

It’s also where we managed to get a photo of Ric Flair with R2D2. Yes, this is a real photo, and it happened at Techno Security many years ago. An unwitting attendee, Ric was just sitting innocently in the hotel bar we when spotted him. A group of students were showcasing their R2D2 replica and it was just too good of a photo opp to pass up.

But the content expands well beyond that, as evidenced by my participation. This year’s session categories include:

  • Audit/Risk Management
  • eDiscovery
  • Forensics
  • Information Security
  • Investigations
  • Sponsor Demos
  • and 4 lab tracks

Their flagship four-day event has over 120 sessions, and 70 exhibitors.

If you’re going to Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference I’ll be there! Catch me at my session, “Zero Trust Illustrated” Tuesday, June 6th at 1:30pm.
